Birdwatch: terms

Birdwatch · updated 2 November 2026

Link, a Stripe company, sells you Birdwatch. I make it and license it to you on these terms.

Your license

A license is for one person, on all their own Macs. Don’t share your key or get around the license check. You may pass the whole license on if you stop using it. What the law allows anyway, such as studying Birdwatch to make it work with other software, stays allowed. These terms also cover the free 14-day trial.

Updates

Every version released within 12 months of buying, and security fixes to those versions for at least five years. Your version keeps working after that.

Refunds

Within 14 days of buying, you get your money back: email birdwatch@coenttb.com from the address you bought with, or ask Link support. A refunded license may no longer be used.

If something goes wrong

As a consumer, you keep all your rights under the law, such as to software that works as described.

As a business, you get Birdwatch as it is, and my liability is at most what you paid, unless I cause harm on purpose or through gross negligence, or the law allows no limit.

Law

Dutch law. As a consumer, you also keep the protection of your own country’s law and courts. Businesses go to the court in Utrecht.
